My child is in the english program at RCF. These are the things I like: small class sizes, engaged interesting teachers, diverse student body, accessible administrators who really care about the needs of the children, fantastic after care program, involved parents.

Things I don't like: the school building is in terrible shape. I don't want to start an immersion -vs- english program debate- but there is definitely some angst between the two programs.

In general we love the school and are very happy with it.

Agree with poster above on everything except for the administration. I think the principal is a Weast-bot who gives you a lot of lip service but really just toes the party line.

And I think the quality of the immersion teachers is iffy -- some are great, some are awful. Plus, if you are in the immersion side you run a greater risk of a long-term sub, because it's so hard for them to find teachers.

It used to be a small class size on the English side. Right Now there are over 50 incoming students for 2 kindergarten classes.

Weast-bot, good one. I'd agree with that analysis.
