911 contact trigger: Is this a thing?

My 80yo parents are on the west coast, and someone I met in passing told me that it’s possible to get the 911 system to automatically notify me if a 911 call is made to my parents’ address.
Has anyone heard of this? Or tried it? This was news to me. |

I think they are referring to those - Help I've fallen and can't get up things.
If the elderly person pushes the help/call button - the hospital/company that makes it - can then speak to the elderly person. If assistance is needed -- they call 911 and then you ---or however you set it up. We used it -- ours was through the hospital. It only works if the elderly person remembers to wear it. Definitely worth looking into. |
