AP pre-calculus

Anonymous
Does anyone know which school offers the AP pre-calculus test? Checked a few nearby high schools, none of them offer it. Maybe this is a new AP test. Thanks

Wootton offers it but…what is the point of taking it? Once your kid takes AP calculus that’s the one that will count toward college credits. What’s the point of AP precalculus?

Wootton doesn’t offer the test. But I think you got a point. Thank you for your response.

Honors get same bump in MCPS.

Easy, if you are going to take Pre-Calc as a Senior.

Since colleges recompute GPA and mostly disregard the faux honors classes but weight AP classes it has its value.

The colleges that care make their own adjustments.

Remember 3/4 of colleges admit 90% of students that apply.

Do you know if they'll let outside people take it? My kid is taking precalc in home school, and wants a score that proves that he knows the content.

Nobody cares about the AP designation on Precalculus either.

Yes, home school students may take AP exams at their local homeschool. Contact the test administrator at the high school for which you are zoned. I would do that soon as schools are already starting to plan for test administration.

Well this is a faux AP class so it will be disregarded.
