Girls Hockey

I have a 10 year old who will be moving to 12U next spring and wants to move from her coed team to an all girls team. I know Reston, Ice Dogs and St James have girl teams. Anyone with experience with any of them? TIA

where are you located? Montgomery Ice Devils have a very robust girls program. Frederick Freeze and TriCity also have girls teams in Maryland.

I'm in NoVA so we are looking for VA based teams.

Are the Ice Dogs even putting out any teams right now with their rinks closed? On the co-Ed side they aren’t.

St James and Reston are your best best. I know a couple of girls who play TSJ after being on co-Ed teams with Caps Academy and they like it and it’s competitive.

I will say both those girls played on girls teams and co-Ed teams at the same time until 14u and I’ve heard them recommend doing that to other girls
