What do you mean "birthday shoot"? Like a birthday party? That is an event photographer -- basically any good wedding photographer will do. I don't know any of those (I know of a lot of good portrait/headshot photogs), but I'm sure someone here will.

Thanks, it looks as though she only does headshots. Plus a little pricer than what I’m looking for. If it helps, I’m looking for someone that charges less than $100.

I'd ask parents of high schoolers for recommendations as they probably know who does senior photos. But you're crazy if you think you'll find someone for $100 unless you stumble onto a mini-session deal.

The chance that someone who charges $100 gives you something better than you can do with your phone is slim.

For reference, I paid $600 for a 30 minute shoot and one photo.

It's possible to take fantastic photos and videos of all kinds with smartphones. But plenty of people are unable to do it.
