2021 Prius XLE with 10k miles. Dealer is asking for $29k. What do I offer? I’m in Los Angeles, so prices may be higher? I’ve been looking forever and my 2008 Prius is about to die. It’s the first one I’ve seen with leather seats under $30k. This is really sad!!
There’s also a 2019 with 21k miles for $25k…. |
| Forgot to mention the car with 10k miles is a certified Toyota, not sure if that even matters. Can’t believe I could almost get a new one for that price! |
| Sounds a little high. Check VIN history of maintenance to ensure no accidents and where car has been. You don’t want flooded areas or tough city driving like NYC. You should get a bumper to bumper warranty for a car with low mileage like that. |
| Does it have to be Prius? Do you own a house? Why not go EV if you need to save money on gas. |
Did you intend to write "horse" or "house" ? OP: Since you have been searching & since you need a new car & since you already are comfortable driving a Prius, you should make an offer. |
| Op here. I’m in a condo so can’t get a plug in. Yes it has to be a Prius, I don’t like change haha! I feel like car prices are just never going down, and wonder if I just buy it. It’s so painful because I bought my 2008 when it was 2 years old for only $17k, so paying $11k more for a 3 year old car seems like a lot! |
Maybe because she might want to drive more than a hundred miles without wasting hours on charging times. |
| Op again- Someone just bought it 😭 I should have jumped on it!!! Now I guess I know for next time. |
There are plenty of new (and used) EVs that get more than twice that range on a full charge. We also don't know how often the OP makes trips that are long enough that a charge would be needed away from home. Unless it's a very long trip seldom does someone "waste hours" on charging. |
Yep, another one will pop up soon. Next time if you think the price is right, go for it. |
