| Having a party in December (for maybe 25-30 people). What are your favorite foods that people serve at parties? |
| Bacon wrapped anything. |
|
This is very old school -- but I love potato chips and onion dip. I make dip by caramelizing chopped onions, the deglazing the pan with balsamic vinegar. Cool. Add to sour cream with salt and pepper, and I add fresh chives and/or parsley if I have it. People love it.
Also old school and always gobbled up immediately -- deviled eggs. |
OP here. Deviled eggs are the BEST! |
| Pigs in a blanket. Not kidding. Even fancy people devour them when they think nobody’s looking. |
This. The Hebrew National brand. |
| Mini meatballs with grape jelly and chili sauce. |
|
I'm totally old school:
Grape jelly meatballs Japaleno poppers Deviled eggs Cream cheese with pepper jelly I also love a good charcuterie If everyone is going to be standing, think about how they can balance the food and eat it. Lean toward one-bite things like mini quiche, meatballs, poppers. |
| Mini quiches, pigs in a blanket, the sausage rolls my family makes, holiday cookies. Basically I’m basic. 😆 |
|
Shrimp cocktail
Dip Blue cheese |
Oooh. I’ve never had homemade onion dip like this. That sounds amazing! I’d do that. I also love stuffed mushroom caps |
| I love 7 layer dip. |
Old school stuff is the best stuff. Agree with your entire list. Plus PPs’ suggestions of bacon-wrapped anything, and shrimp cocktail. |
Pigs in a blanket and spinach balls, my favorite appetizer dinner. |
That’s the thing, most people love all this stuff. It all gets eaten right away. |
