un-alive

I recently read an entertainment "news" article that repeatedly used un-alive. As in "they wanted to un-alive him". Is this a new thing?

TikTok would block/ban/shadow ban language involving murder and suicide, which caused new speech patterns to develop. It’s fascinating to watch as a linguistics major.

Thanks, it was odd language for me considering the article was rating horror films.

Honestly, I hate this language, and I say that as someone who has struggled with the urge. Why not write k*ll or sui***e?

I don't find this new trend really enlightened or woke or helpful.

Read the comments above yours. It's not about being "woke", it's because people don't want their content to get banned.
