Turkey Deli Meat

I picked up deli meat from Whole Foods and the slices were broken up and shaved into pieces. I’ll add it was dry like week old turkey.

I called Whole Foods and they said the manufacturer sent them this way..

Anyone have this experience?

What kind? We get the applegate slices at Whole Foods and the quality is always good (actually great!). I like the southwest kind

The turkey made "in store" is always this way at Whole Foods. I order the oven roasted Applegate Turkey instead which is always moist.

Hmm, this is a first for me
The slices are always fresh and thin

I haven’t had a dry and shaven pieces ever
It made me wonder if I wanted to buy a turkey from Whole Foods this year
