Smart. In a couple years when the Montgomery County progressives finally realize that weed shops in front of their kids schools is not a good idea, it will be too late.

There is literally one directly across the street from Walter Johnson HS. There is also one 2 blocks from Bethesda Elementary School.

Maryland law does not allow liquor stores within 500 feet of schools, but that law does not apply to weed stores, although it should.

PG County understand very well that these shops are a nuisance, not an amenity and I applaud them for it.

Thank god. Montgomery County needs to do the same. It's not ok to just have these dispensaries smack dab in shopping centers and commercial areas where kids and families frequent.

It's very difficult to legally regulate what can be in a commercial shopping zone. It's not as simple as NIMBY or not close to my high school, especially in urban areas.

It’s utterly insane that it’s illegal to sell nicotine vape within a half mile of a school but it’s not illegal to sell thc vape across the street from a school.

Well thc was just recently legalized. It takes time to update zoning ordinances
