| Trying to decide on Spring Break vacation (last week of March). Would like to keep airfare below (or not much higher than) 2k for family of 4, and budget for vacation itself is 6k for lodging (not counting food). Two boys are 9 and 11 and have never been out of the country before, but really would like to. Fav vacations have been NYC and amusement/water parks in Orlando and Williamsburg. Neither are big into hiking nor is DK. They say they'd love to try snorkeling (both love animals), so somewhere Caribbean is a possibility but also wondering if it would be worthwhile it to go somewhere in Europe instead or if we should wait a few years til they are older. Or any other suggestions?? |

Recently with my 10 year old we have went to Mexico and Europe. In Mexico we LOVED Cozumel - excellent snorkeling.
London has so much for kids this age and we also loved Amsterdam, it was my kids favorite. |

This budget is going to be tough over spring break especially when I coincides with Easter.
We are spending that much just to fly to CO to ski and we bough tickets a while ago. maybe use google flights to see where you can fly for a decent price and go from there. |

Yeah, I think you go wherever you can get "cheap" tickets and try to make it work within the budget. That week is stupid expensive. We usually pay over $500pp just to get to California.
I'd skip Europe because it's cold in March/April and I always want warm for spring break, but if that's not a concern and you can find affordable flights, go for it. |

| We got a great deal through travelbyjen.com for Christmas in the Caribbean. Look on their website (we ruled out Dominican Republic and Costa Rica), then call them and tell them you budget, or where you want to go, and they'll take care of the rest. It's that easy, and inexpensive |
