Cogat at gmu

Anonymous
Does anyone know if a kid takes the cogat at gmu if the score is automatically shared with fcps?

It is not. You are responsible for providing the scores to the school. My daughter retook the CogAT in 3rd grade when we wanted to reapply after not getting in the first time and I asked the same question. I picked up the results in December and opted whether or not to share them based on how she did. She did significantly better than she had the first time so I provided them to the school when I submitted her application.

These new scores do NOT show up in SIS...only the original scores do. So it seems as though they are simply used for the application and then never seen again.

Thanks so much for your answer.

It’s much better to be tested one on one there.

The cogat is a group administration at GMU. The WISC is one on one.
