what to do with leftover deli ham

Anonymous
DC returned to college and I have half a packet of deli ham left. I don’t really eat ham but if I could “hide” it in a food or at least make it not the primary as in ham sandwich, I think I could eat it. Looking for ideas - thanks.

I often hide it from my toddlers (opposed to meat) by adding it shredded to omelettes. Quiche Lorraine is also good.

Add to salads, or make bean soup

If you cut it into strips and brown it in a pan, it tastes like bacon lite. Serve with eggs and toast.

It’s a half packet of ham. If you don’t really like it, just toss it. Life is too short to eat food you don’t enjoy, if you can afford it.

Second the quiche and omelet suggestion. You could also use it to make carbonara.

Freeze and use in omelets later. I usually dice it so it is easy to separate later.

Give it to the dog.

Grilled ham and cheese
Toss in scrambled eggs
Make an egg sandwich with a slice
