Synergy/ Classroom question

My DS and I tried to play around in Synergy/my mcps classroom today to make it easier to navigate. We did not succeed. The issue is that some assignments appear on the dashboard, some on the calendar, and some nowhere at all and you have to dig through individual courses to figure out what the homework is. One teacher is putting homework under “modules”. Does anyone have a life hack to sync all of this somehow so everything appears under the dashboard?

Students can adjust some settings in Canvas/myMCPS, like notification frequencies, but they can't do what you're talking about. What you're talking about is under teacher control, and schools let each teacher set up their Canvas how they want.

Schools complain that students aren't keeping up with their work but they don't realize that their system is a stumbling block.

It depends on the school. Over the summer, mine chose a specific set up. It doesn’t work for 90% of our students, but all of us are forced to use it.

Our school has a standardized format. Works really well since all the kids know exactly where to look.
