What is your 10th grader doing for Halloween?

DD sat at home alone last year but wants to do something this year. She might do something with the kids she babysits for but I am encouraging her to try to see if her friends might want to do something. Do your kids do anything with friends or family at this age?

My kids stopped trick or treating after 8th grade but enjoyed handing out candy to neighborhood kids at home in high school.

My son is invited to a party but he’s planning to skip it and hang out at home/hand out candy.

Mine will probably hang out outside with us if it’s nice and handout (eat) candy for a while. If it’s cold he will take handfuls and eat it while he does whatever on his computer. He stopped doing anything for Halloween years ago.

My slightly younger daughter is going to a party the weekend before and doesn’t have set plans for actual Halloween yet. It’s mid week so they are planning the party for the weekend.

My 10th grader absolutely loves drawing up so she’s making a costume but I’m not sure she has anywhere to wear it, lol.

I'd encourage this! My 10th grader is taking his little sister and her friend trick or treating. He'll wear a low-key costume and most of the neighbors will also give him candy. Plus, his sister will share some since he's 'doing her a favor' by taking her (instead of her having to go with her uncool parents).

It's kind of a win-win.

My 10th grader, doesn't know yet. Since we have school the next day no one is having a party, but she might go trick or tricking with a friend. She is not sure yet.

Halloween is on a Tuesday (womp, womp) and my kid has a game that night. Thanks, VHSL. (giving middle finger)

For real? I'd skip the game.

That’s a big no for me

She and her friends are going to the popular neighborhood for trick or treating.

MCPS has off the next day so my DD is throwing a small party and they are going Rick or treating, then bonfire, and scary movies. Possibly a sleepover
