| If I only have viewer level access to a game video, is there a way to still capture clips for highlights? I have an iphone and a PC and am not an overly sophisticated user of either.... Is there software or an app I can use for this?? |
Yes, use a regular Snipping Tool on your Windows PC or software like Vimeo and the like. |
No. If you’re signed in, it can work to send you notifications if there are other comments, but as an anonymous user, it’s just to try and bring it higher up in the forum. That’s fine if the comment is old and buried, but bumping a comment/topic that’s only been up for a day is really douchey. |

You just need to play the game on your phone in full screen mode (with nothing else showing on the screen ) and then screen record. This comes out very clear. From there I merge clips to video and edit on my phone with arrows, etc for a movie. If you are not sophisticated you should have someone upload them from your phone into a site like Dropbox and just have them edit the clips.
I'm sure your kid could help you do it or figure it out, mine has been editing videos since he was 8. |
Oops. Then my mistake. |
| Screen record while watching the video on your phone or laptop. Screen recording will give you a full movie file that you can edit with any video editor. iMovie or Quicktime work well and are free on Mac |
| Thank you all! and to the PP who said my kid could help, yes an 8 year old could do this, but unfortunately my kid isn't a sweet helpful 8 year old anymore, rather a scary, hormonal, nasty teen. So sometimes the no contact workaround is more pleasant. So, thanks for indulging me! |
