The Book of Lost Names

Has anyone read this? It’s a doozy. I will need time to recover.

(It’s about the French resistance and document forgers who helped Jewish children escape to Switzerland during WWII.)

The Forest of Vanishing Stars by the same author (Kristin Harmel) is also worth reading. The Book of Lost Names is the better of the two, but The Forest of Vanishing Stars is still very much a page-turner.

Be forewarned… I found it really hard. There’s not a lot of concentration camp stuff in it, but there are a few spots where Nazi levels of evil just…. I don’t have the words.
