I know this is minor in the scheme of things, but does anyone know where I can get a stuffed Elmo that doesn't have plastic eyes? My 13 month old is obsessed with him (she's never even seen Sesame Street, I bought her an Elmo balloon for her birthday and it was all over...). Anyway, I'd like to find her an Elmo to sleep with, so hence I'm looking for one without hard eyes. Thanks for any help! |
I have found a smaller version at CVS that is stuffed only and does not have plastic eyes. |
I would look on Ebay -- there must be two or three dozen different versions of Elmo. We have one that doesn't have plastic eyes. However, it talks and I wouldn't recommend it for bedtime use. |
I got as a gift an Elmo that has these big round cloth eyes--it is made by Fisher Price and sold exclusively at Toys R Us. It's kinda huge--maybe too huge for your DS to sleep with?--but here's a link to the one I have:

They have Elmos at Toys R Us for children under the age of three, smaller and larger versions.

I am the pp of this post and also just wanted to note that my dd at the same age slept with the one with the plastic eyes without problem. You can also throw them in the washing machine - which is great (not the dryer though). |
