| Prior to COVID, you had one day dedicate to job interviews, on site, and you got to meet everyone at once. Now, it appears you have 4-5 interviews lined up, each on average once a week, it takes 4-5 weeks just to complete interviews, if you are lucky...how is this efficient...what companies are hiring at a faster rate? |
| I wouldn't go for 4-5 interviews. A company who makes decisions like that is not where I want to work. |
| Im hiring people and we do 2 rounds. One on the phone and one where you meet 4-5 people and then we make a decision. I think 4 weeks for interviews is silly and too long. |
Agreed - but this is the Big 4, Big 3, and the big tech - all have several interviews that are required...sadly |
Do you mind me asking what industry? |
|
The ideal process should be three interviews:
- One phone screen with HR/recruiter - One interview with Hiring Manager and other team members - One interview with person above Hiring Manager |

Most recruiters are a joke. They are really data managers. They want the commish and that is it. They read a couple of anecdotes online and think they know you, your business, roles, pay scales etc.
They dial, email for $s. |
