Tablet for drawing

My tween is really into drawing and wants to get into animation. Anyone know anything about what might be the best tablet?
Trying to avoid an ipad if at all possible (he definitely does not need internet browser access) - but if people w/ knowledge of art/tech have any suggestions?? Thanks all 0 |

Animation like "moving pictures", or animation just as in "comic-style drawings"?
For the former, don't really need a tablet, you need software like Adobe Animate (there's probably cheaper ones, but I'm not super familiar with this space). If the latter, maybe check out the Wacom One. |
