My DS recently received a diagnosis of osteitis pubis; took 6 weeks off and is still in recovery; looks like he needs another 2 months to rest. He's 13; anyone have player(s) that successfully returned from this condition? Any suggestions? He feels like he's regressing and his peers are growing, practicing, and playing...

Oh god. My just turned 18 year old suffered with this for 18 months. He had to sit out his entire Junior year. It happened after a growth spurt. Pain became debilitating.
He had 3 MRIs, cortisone shot in pubis. It occasionally flairs up still. |
