I am going to visit a dear friend specifically to spend the weekend cooking tons of food for her to freeze so that she can take a few months off from meal planning after some major life events have left her reeling. She has a blender but I have a better one that’s also a food processor. Do I have to check it in a bag or can I just throw it in my carry on? I am worried about it getting damaged in baggage and I am only going for 3 days so don’t need many clothes/toiletries. |
Yes. As long as the blades aren't 8 inches long. |
You are a dear friend. |
Thanks so much! I will measure but I doubt they are anywhere close to that long. |
+1 you are amazing, OP |
+1 Come to my house next! Tales of the Traveling Blender |
Could you just purchase her one and ship it in advance? |
I would think that it would be confiscated on the side caution. I really can't imagine it getting through TSA I recommend you pack it really well in your baggage. Use bubble wrap if you have to.
You are a good friend. |
I doubt it. Have Amazon deliver one |
Why would it be confiscated? |
I have NO idea but if it has sharp blades, isn’t that problematic? I mean they take my 4 0z saline bottle. |
The rules do not make sense. But also, a blender doesn't make a great weapon. The blades spin and are hard to hold. |
What a lovely friend. |
Not sure the blades would be permitted. Can you separate the blade part and put that in a checked bag? |
Depends if it is made of glass. |
