| Do kids leave their phone at home for the SAT or give it to the proctor ? I am dropping off and picking up so thinking through how to coordinate meeting at the end. It isn’t at our own high school. |
| Mine left their phones at home but every other kid seemed to have one - put on a table at the front of the room at the start |
| mine left it in a backpack - not sure where that was kept |
but took the backpack to the testing center along with pencils, water bottle, etc |
| I thought they had to leave them at home per rules (and maybe they do?) but my kid took SAT and ACT multiple times this past year and most kids had their phones. I’d make darn sure it’s powered off though. |
they just throw their backpack against a wall in the testing room. |
| I heard some kid took his backpack to the bathroom and was not let back in to finish the test |
| This is my kids first sat. Do kids bring a snack? |
Only if they have an accommodation for extended time. Otherwise just water. |
| Thanks |
Nonsense almighty. Everyone brings water AND a snack. Totally fine. Just put it in a ziploc so it can be seen. |
| I proctor APs, so not sure if SATs might differ a bit. Phones off and zipped in bag, bags at the front of the room. Snack and water under desk. Snack only in a break. |
Sounds just like DD’s SAT …..and ACT. |
| Phone switched off in backpack is what I remember. |
| My daughter always brings a snack. I believe water bottles have to be see through but not sure if that’s enforced. |
