Spark Matsunaga ES? Anyone familiar?

We are considering a home purchase that feeds into this elementary (haven't heard great things about the middle or high schools, but will cross those bridges when we arrive to them) but wondering if anyone has kids there, or has had kids there. It's ENORMOUS, but the class sizes are comparable to other MoCo ES sizes. TIA.

My nephew is there and my sister LOVES IT. She says the principle is fantastic.

My son's day care teacher has had her 3 kids there over the years and has also loved it. I don't have any first hand experience, but I love and respect her to death. She was telling me about her neighborhood because I want to move to a SFH and ditch this townhouse. So that's how it came up. She is NOT pleased with the middle school however (don't know the name).

We would like a SF in Kingsview, feeding into Matsunaga. Do you have any info. on whether it is 'family friendly' (could have just been the day, but we saw no kids out playing) or of any safety/security concerns?

Matsunaga is the one by the soccerplex, right? I can't imagine a more family-friendly area, what with the giant playgrounds and the pool and splash park and mini-golf...if it wouldn't kill my commute, I'd look for a home out there in a heartbeat.

Only thing I know is that it is the largest and most overcrowded school in Montgomery County. I think it probably feeds into Northwest High School though and for some reason I always here bad things about that one.

The only thing I know about it is that it has the most trailers I have ever seen at an elementary school.
