Seeking a general "study skills" tutor for 11th grader with test anxiety that is catching up with them due to now taking AP classes. Has always had trouble studying, and previously not receptive to help. Has managed over 9th and 10th with pretty good grades, but partly because of fairly low rigor. Stuff is getting real now, and they need help. In Bethesda area. TIA.

Please no "you should have gotten on this sooner." There are lots of nuances, and we have managed in different ways up until now.

We have used LS Tutors-- she has a team of tutors and did a good job matching our son with a tutor that not only helped him with math but also helped with study skills. www.lstutors.com

Can I ask how it went with lstutors? How many sessions do they recommend or did you need to get the study skills?
