| Any suggestions? I don't want to bring the same book other people bring and my kids are older so it's a long time since I've looked at baby books. These aren't first time parents, so they probably already have a decent library, too. |

Oh the Places You’ll Go is a good one - common but not too common that they may have it.
There’s also Goodnight (insert city here) books for different cities. |
| Peruse Amazon or B&N and just look for something fun and different. Don’t get a “classic”, get something fresh. Is the baby due around a holiday? Get a themed book. |
| I like I'll Love You Till the Cows Come Home and Goodnight, Goodnight Construction Site. |

This one used to make me choke up when reading it to my babies and toddlers:
https://www.amazon.com/Wherever-You-Are-Love-Will/dp/1250017971 It's a sweet love poem. Mine are well into elementary school now and I will never part with this book because I love it so much. |
These are terrible books. They seem like they should be on theme, but I hate them. There are SO many really lovely children's books out there. Do you want sweet, cute, funny? For funny I really like "I'm The Biggest Thing in the Ocean" because kids love that twist ending

| We love Mini Rabbit Is Not Lost, and as far as I know, it isn’t super popular. |
|
I'd buy anything from Mo Willems instead of something from Dr Suess.
Chris Van Alsburg books stand the test of time too. Beautiful illustrations, and sometimes few words. |
| Another good one is "No Matter What" - very sweet story, emphasizing a parents love. |
|
I highly recommend “On The Night You Were Born.”
(I am hoping that I got that title correct!) The cover of the book is blue w/two polar bears on front. Kids just LOVE this book. The illustrations are fantastic & the words are as well. 💓 |

Giraffes Can’t Dance
Very Hungry Caterpillar Little Blue Truck Goodnight Moon |
Yes, this is such a good one. |
| Everywhere Babies is really sweet |

The Big Red Barn is my favorite go too, very rocking to sleep rhythm to it.
Each Peach, Pear Plum was very popular for my kids for similar rhythmic reasons. |
We love this one too as well as all of Nancy Tillman’s books but if these are second time parents, I’d imagine they have it (or someone else will buy it) — it’s very popular! |
