| What are your favorite packing cubes for a carry-on bag? I’ve never used them. Thank you! |
|
we recently bought and used compression packing cubes that were great. Just got them off amazon
|
| I like to use a mix of compression and regular cubes. Any brand generally works - have bought them off amazon and from Marshalls. |
| I got a set from Ikea and have used them multiple times a year for over 10 years. |
| We've used Ziploc brand before and they are fine. We don't use them often but they get the job done for a cube that doesn't use a vacuum seal |
| We use the smaller sized Amazon branded ones all the time in our kids diaper bags and for daycare bags and those seem to hold up to heavy use. |
| Size/shape matters more than brand (lots of options on Amazon, including their own brand which is good) - I prefer the medium and small ones (plus a large one for return-home laundry), but YMMV. I like ones that have a mesh panel so that you can see inside (this might be standard). I haven't tried compression, but I do stuff a lot in mine. |
| E-bags are still my favorite but the cheaper ones from Amazon work fine too. |
| They are a gimmick. |
| Why does anyone need to buy packing cubes? They take up more space and weight. Use ziplocks or plastic bags if you must separate? Is that because it’s messes up your style? Legit ask, I don’t get the fad at all. It is the best example of ‘make it and someone will buy it’ to me. |
No, I love them. Each of us has a color and we can more easily put multiple people’s clothes in one suitcase. And each person knows the size of packing cube that has their tops, underwear etc. It makes things much less chaotic. I note a big improvement. |
| I bought some from Amazon and they literally disintegrated. I cannot find them anywhere and can only conclude they turned to dust. |
| Do the packing cubes help keep bed bugs out of clothes? I wash and heat dry most of my clothes after traveling but don’t always clean my sweaters or blazers. |
No. |
| They’re not a gimmick but buy inexpensive ones. |
