Anyone watching this spinoff with Maggie and Negan? I don’t know if I can even get through the first episode. So campy - the marshals in their black hats and long coats are just ridiculous. Oh how I miss the first few seasons of the OG TWD.

They are my two least favorite characters, so no. And I can only imagine how many times the writers go to the "he killed Glenn--shouldn't I kill him?" well. Nope.

I will stick with Daryl Dixon, however.

I posted on a related thread regarding this show. I thought it got better. And it is getting a second season, I think. Which I'll watch. But I like the Dixon spinoff a lot more.

I loved the Maggie and Negan characters. But I don't really like them together. The reason being the tension between them over Glen just overtakes any other story. And it's tiresome at this point. I want to tell Maggie, either kill him or move on. Because her enraged looks, huffing, plotting, etc. I'm just kind of over it (and Glen was my fave character).

And as for Negan, while I like to hear about him becoming more of a person and less of a psycho, I do want some of that hard edge or snark back in him. That's what we all loved to hate.

I'm really liking the Dixon spinoff. Has everything we love about TWD, including Darryl!

OP here - I agree. I love DD and will watch anything with him in it - even if his new show is pretty dumb too. I am so sick of the constant Maggie hating Negan and Negan always trying to atone.
