Hi! Is the summer after sophomore year the most important in terms of going to camps/showcases? My son will be going to some showcases with his club but we’re getting very little guidance from them about what (if anything!) we should be doing this school year and anything we should be keeping on our radar for this summer. TIA!!

They barely look at boys until mid-end of Junior year. Times have changed.

Sophomore year showcases (outside the top 15-20 recruits in the US) are pretty worthless in terms of expecting any college coach to be watching you.

My kid is a Senior mlsnext and having coaches come out this Fall-winter.

You are very early.

Boys are different than girls- recruit much later.

This is so helpful - thank you! So many of my son's friends play lacrosse and that timing is way earlier so I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything!
