Sappy things you're looking forward to

We've waited a long long time for baby. A friend recently asked what's the cheesiest/sappiest thing I'm looking forward to it planning. Would love to know others-

I love a matching/coordinated outfit, can't wait to matchy matchy with kiddo and DH if he wants to join

Regular portraits - love the idea of seasonal photos and really like the documentary style photography shoots

Birthdays and holidays can't wait to dress them up in (fill in the blank holiday) outfits while they let me.

Oh and sharing my (bad) music taste. Bring on all the Taylor Swift dance parties. Tbh baby will equally know Taylors voice to ours once they get here

I'm looking forward to my third, and for me it was always the nursery. I LOVE a well decorated nursery. Both my first two were/are perfect and bring me a ton of joy.

Sadly, the third gets a hand-me-down nursery ( )

Some of my favorites:
-Playing Santa and the Easter Bunny. It's like the Super Bowl of parenting
-Baby Giggles
-Hearing their voice for the first time when they start talking
-Definitely matching and matching pajamas (Little Sleepies makes adult matching!)
-Throwing the first birthday party

I loved doing all the cheesy photoshoots with mine. Just DIY because I’m into photography but kind of over the top—outfits, props, backgrounds. My favorite was “in and out day” (day when he’s been out the same number of weeks/days he was in utero—39 weeks 2 days old) with an In N Out burger hat and let him try a burger and fries.

They admittedly stopped just before a year when I ran out of ideas and time but the pictures are epic!

I unexpectedly loved breastfeeding. So I’m looking forward to that with my second. Cuddling with a milk drunk newborn is hormonal bliss.

My friend said that watching her 2 kids play together made her heart explode with love. So I’m looking forward to that too.

Pregnant with my second and can’t wait for DD1 to meet her sister for the first time. And for all their interactions after that.

I’ve been practicing different character voices for reading books aloud. I can’t wait for story times, picnics at the park, and an excuse to finally go to Legoland one day.

My husband and I LOVE Elephant and Piggie books for this reason!

Holidays, specially Halloween and Christmas. Two holidays that always bought me great joy as a kid. I can’t wait to see holidays through my kids eyes.

Along with that, yes cute holiday outfits. Especially holiday themed comfy PJs.

Making our own family traditions.

Seeing my wife become a mother.

Seeing my parents become grandparents.

Wondering who this little person will be.
