Feels like a breakup

A sweet man at work paid a lot of attention to me and gave me a remarkable amount of compliments earlier this year. Everyone thought he had a crush on me. I certainly enjoyed the attention and compliments.

Maybe because of the rumors, or perhaps for some other reason, he has been more distant the last couple of months.

I really miss the attention and compliments! I feel a bit like I’m going through a breakup.

How long will this awful feeling last?

He probably heard from HR via the grapevine that he had a crush on you and that can become a problem if someone said it might be sexual harassment. If he in any way could influence your career then it’s a big problem.

Every time you post about this, it’s about how he compliments you - nothing else. Like, you don’t mention his personality, what you have in common, etc. It’s quite narcissistic.

I noticed this too! Like how he always compliments her, sends emails complimenting her, etc. Nothing about him.
