Travel to on a budget/Slight Splurge based on time of year - International and National?
Taking a few days before and/or after off to make the trip a little cheaper. I won't be able to travel for too many years. And I haven't traveled much. So... fantasizing and maybe we can make some of it happen. Christmas Break January Long Weekend February Long Weekend Spring Break Early June Late August Late October Thanksgiving Some places I'd like to not in any order - African Safari, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Costa Rica, Belize, Utah National Parks, Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, India, Galapagos, Iceland or any of the Nordic countries, Egypt, Japan, Portugal, Croatia, Peru, Canada. Lol long list. I had seen a similar thread some time back but I can't find it. |

New Zealand, but I don’t think I could handle the flights.
What I’d really like to do is a trip by train — maybe up coast from California to Vancouver, or some place like Switzerland, or even to Montreal, with time in Quebec, and a cruise on the St Lawrence River. |

| Before our kids were in school, we'd travel in Oct through early Dec just because that worked best for our work schedules. Of the places on your list, we went to Peru, on safari in South Africa, and the Utah parks during that time and it seemed like a great time to go. |
