| Ford in Sterling claims it will take 3 weeks for a mechanic to look at transmission. Apparently, lots of people are having issues with transmissions these days. Mine went haywire the day after I put gas at Shell in Sterling. The car is 3 years old, low milage. What on earth is going on? |

Well the problem is that pretty much all cars made in the last 20 years are just ridiculous junk.
So that being said they are overwhelmed with repairs in the junk they have been selling. Its common knowledge among all the auto techs I know. |

The second biggest problem is owners don't keep up with maintenance. If yu have a auto trans you should be changing the oil in it every 30 to 40000 miles.
If yu don't then most of the blame is on you. I know that sounds crazy to a lot of people but that's just reality these days. |
The car has 9k miles, and gets oil change when required, so I do not think it is a maintenance problem. I am just blown away that it will take 3 weeks to resolve the issue |
| OP here. Got the car back after 3 days. It was a software issue, just like with thousands on fords made after 2019 (mine is 2019). Towing truck driver said I was his fourth ford pickup on Monday), there was another tow truck with an Explorer at the dealer today, and police Fords being looked at. Seems like a massive issue with Ford suvs. |
