“ I am writing to make you aware of an incident that occurred on a school bus today, Wednesday, September 27th. This morning a live pistol round was found on a luggage bus when it arrived at our Outdoor Education site, no weapon was found. No students were present or on the bus at this time, students were transported to Outdoor Education on separate buses.”

We received this letter, and now it’s reported on news outlets. In the past, these were chartered buses, and not school buses. I don’t see any updates on whether or not that’s still the case and if so could the live round had been from a previous group unrelated to MCPS? Does anyone know more info?

Commenting on my own thread to see if anybody has heard any updates? There has been zero communication from the school aside from the vague letter.

I wouldn't expect any more. Everyone involved has has better things to do then trace the origin of a single unused round on a rented bus where no students were boarded.

It's not good but it's not fentanyl.
