Cassidy Hutchinson is the former aide to Mark Meadows, Chief of staff to Donald Trump. She testified to the January 6 committee and has provided testimony to the DOJ and Fulton County DA.
She dishes on the toxic sexist environment in the Trump West Wing and all the schemes she new about to undermine our constitution and the rule of law. I haven’t read the book yet, but I’ve seen her in several interviews. She gives me hope that there are some young Republicans who actually care about country over self interest. |
| Knew not new - autoincorrect! |
But take every word with a grain of salt. She wanted President Trump to take her to Florida & wanted to keep working with the folks whom she now derides. Her net worth is above $3 million & growing. My understanding is that all of her net worth is from government service & now her book. She is about 27 years old. |
I'm pretty sure she's going to need security guards for a long time, so I'm glad she has some money. |
| Sounds like a major yawn. |
How did she make three million in government service at her age? |
She didn’t. The poster said her “net worth” is three million. Just stop for a moment and think about what forum you’re reading this post in. |

It’s a story as old as time.
Young woman gets swept up in affair (political or sexual) with older man/men in positions of much greater power. This particular young woman has an underdeveloped (but within the range of normal for her age/life experience) sense of judgement, and no real work experience, let alone experience dealing with powerful-but-shady, manipulative, older men with multi-decade track records of seducing, using, and discarding everyone in their path. I’m choosing to take the positive reception to Hutchinson’s book as a sign that we’ve made at least a little progress as a society since the Monica Lewinsky disaster. These women were foolish and naive beyond words compared to how some of us functioned at their age. But they were truly no match for the horrible men for whom they worked. Both in their own way were victims of a high-risk situation involving a vastly mis-matched power balance. They both deserve our support. |
No thanks. Why don't you say what you like about it? I don't want to read anecdotes about awful people she worked for while she tries to whitewash herself and gets rich doing it. |

good read, read in 2 days, good story of young female growing up with a tough childhood in america and just wants to make the country better. shares stories of day to day life at the white house working for the chief of staff and the jan 6 event and her subsequent sharing of her experience with the commissions
Cassidy I wish you all the best and integrity is the way |

I didn’t realize she came from a tough background. I find her voice sort of surprisingly wobbly for someone that has become such a whistleblower but I’ve noted that in other young women from rough backgrounds.
I like the PP comparison to Monica Lewinsky. That’s an interesting way to think of it. |
