Lululemon to discontinue Mirror as it teams up with Peloton

I am a big fan of the Mirror and disappointed with the news. The mirror cost $1000 and a $40 a month subscription. We will have access to Peloton content starting in November, with Lululemon not selling any more Mirror's in 2024 and ending live content. However, they will continue selling the mirror until the end of the year. DO NOT BUY ONE. Without live content, we don't know what the subscription price will be and it's not worth it if there's only old videos.

Does anything know how the Peloton content compares? I do advanced strength classes and an occasional cardio or barre class. I do not have a bike and do not wish to purchase one. TIA.

You can get the Peloton content without the bike. They are sold separately.

I use the Peloton app for strength training classes and love it. There's an endless amount of choices but it's very easy to filter. You can select class length, body area, instructor, music, difficulty.

There's also yoga, meditation, stretching and foam rolling.

Peloton content is amazing and there is just so much of it. We have the bike but 20% of the classes we use are on the bike. We use running, strength, yoga… there is so much to do that you’ll find at least a few instructors you like.

Is there much Advanced total body strength classes? I am limited with the app because I'm not a subscriber yet. Thanks!

I have both, and as long as they keep the peloton content on the mirror, it'll be fine! Peloton has really good strength and total body classes. I love my Mirror too, so for me this was good news (as long as they stay true to their word and don't stop the streaming to the mirror). I prefer Peloton instructors anyway. I do wonder if we'll be able to select our own music though like we do in the app since Peloton just has instructor selections. I like making my workout music pop country lol.

How long until the mirror users sue?

This isn't going to go on forever though. They will stop selling mirrors in 2024. I'm curious how the Peloton workouts will look on the mirror.

Of they plan to stop selling the mirrors don’t expect them to continue syncing content/classes with the mirror. It will become obselete technology.

Many insurance companies offer free membership to Peloton. You may be able to access it for free.

If Cindy Martinez needs a shoulder to cry on, my husband says he’s available.

I work out in front of a mirror and place an iPad with Peloton or other content on the floor. That’s why Mirror is going out of business.
