I feel awful. This is my second pregnancy and don't remember being this miserable even when my due date was closer with our first.
I've been having semi-painful cramping on-and-off for about a week, have been worst-than-first trimester nauseous for the past 12 hours, and generally just feel like a huge wimp over how sore I feel all over. I went in this weekend to get evaluated due to the cramping hanging around to be safe and the doc said baby was healthy and while she picked up some contractions on the monitor, nothing of note. Does anyone have any tips? Yoga workouts? Just...anything. |

I found a bath helped.
But I would not be surprised if you go into labor in the next 24 hours. Get things ready! |

Water! Being weightless will probably help you. Float in a pool or find a large bathtub. Other than that, just be gentle with yourself. Rest, stay home, say no to things. It's ok, really.
I felt terrible at the end of my 2nd pregnancy too. |

Rest. Rest rest rest rest rest.
You forgot when you're pregnant with your second just how much resting you did when you were pregnant with your first. It was literally your biggest job. When you've already had a kid, you have so many more responsibilities, you don't rest as much and you NEED rest. That's what your body is trying to tell you. |

Maybe try a flotation tank? I went to this place in DC a couple times in my pre-baby life and thought how cool it would be to do while pregnant: https://soulexdc.com/
Of course, I now live too far from the city but google says there are similar spots in the burbs. |
| Thanks, everyone. I really appreciate it. Ugh, yuck. |

This is exactly how I felt, OP and I’m currently resting with my 2 week old on my chest. The upside is that active labor was incredibly quick and easy - 20 mins from 4 cm dilated to baby on chest.
Rest as much as you can - it will be over soon! Would also recommend water (bath or pool) if you can. |
| OP, are you well hydrated? I always found myself feeling crampier at the end if I wasn't well hydrated. And it sneaks up on you-you really need to have water handy and sip often. |
This! |
| Everyone has already said it but it’s so true that at that point the only thing that helps is Diclegis or Zofran and floating in a pool. |
