I had COVID exactly one month ago and now got hit with flu. I’m spent. I had a colonoscopy between the two illnesses and as a result have had too many days without eating. My fever is better and my stomach has been rumbling all night long. I have a terrible headache and a bad cough. I haven’t eaten real food since Thursday night. Maybe 750 calories since then.
What should I eat? |
| Toast and a poached egg |
|
Chicken soup, rice, applesauce. Lots of fluids.
If you aren’t having mucous issues add fermented dairy like yogurt and cottage cheese to recolonize your gut. |
| Pho |
| Any broth-based soup you like, scrambled eggs, toast, cheerios, applesauce, etc. |
| Thank you. Those all sound good. I don’t think my brain works too well with this headache and appreciate the suggestions. |
| Ramen |
| Can you have food delivered to your house? I would order pho with your favorite protein. Or I would order Panera soup and bread. |
|
+1 chicken soup
nibble on dry toast and yogurt - the probiotics are good for settling things digestively |
| Another vote for chicken soup or ramen. |
All of this. Maybe toast with PB if you can handle it. Probiotic if you can't do the fermented dairy. So sorry OP, that sounds rough. Hope you feel better soon. |

Chicken rice soup, crackers, maybe cooked carrots, baked apples, oatmeal. I would probably try almond butter on crackers, with cooked apples — and see how that goes.
Feel better OP! |
