SAT is a test of high school Algebra and Geometry. Has your kid studied high school algebra and geometry?

Have they taken a practice test?

I took the SAT in 7th grade as part of the Duke TIP program. But it recently closed. There's another similar program but I don't know much about it.

Why do you ant your kid to take the SAT?

Mine have taken it in 6th as a requirement to qualify for highly accelerated math in 7th grade. You can take it through CTD Northwestern University

If your 6th grader is in advanced math (even if not Level 4 AAP), they will have the option to take the IAAT test in 6th grade. Kids must get 91st percentile or above AND pass advanced on the 7th grade math SOL to qualify. Check with your school's AART if you have questions.

As I mentioned there was a post where there was a discussion for taking SAT in sixth grade - not all schools do that

What do you mean percentage of SOL scores? You can see previous SOL scores in SIS, but anything above 500 is pass advanced.
