For those griping about US News and how you are supposed to figure out where to apply now that USNWR has changed their model, I found this DIY College Rankings spreadsheet to be one of the most useful tools in DCs college search. It's only $24 and basically compiles a ton of information from colleges' common data sets into a spreadsheet that you can then filter by whatever is important to you. Want a school in the northeast with <4k students, a retention rate of at least 80% and a net price for your income band of no more than $40k. You can find that. How about a big school, with an average SAT greater than 1400, and a high percentage of graduates in computer science. You can find that too.
