I have been doing WW on and off for several years and it has always worked for me when I did the program, until now. I am 59 years old and started at 218. I got down to 170 with a goal of 155. I ballooned back up to 188 and have been at that for several weeks despite being very good about the program. I feel like I may need a few sessions with a nutritionist or dietician to really make a plan for myself. Does anyone have someone they worked with who was helpful? Or have any other suggestions?Thank you. |
If you are eating the same amount of food, can you move more? Walk? If you have an iPhone, it has a pedometer. It's so beautiful out and will probably be 100 degrees again soon (false Fall) or start snowing (false Winter), so be outside as much as possible! |
Plateau- it happens, keep on doing the program (weighing and measuring everything - I find if I don't, my portion sizes creep up). It also could be you need fewer points at the lower weight - is there someone at WW you can check with? |
Thanks for the responses. I am used to plateaus, but this has been about 3 months now. I’m at the lowest level of points, but I can do better about weighing my food for sure. I can also be moving a bit more. I get close to 10,000 steps at work, but have been slacking a bit in my actual exercise. |
How many points? How do you just balloon back up to 188? Do you not weight yourself daily or weekly? Are you retaining water? |
15,000 is better for weight loss and weight or resistance training is really important for women as we age. It also boosts resting metabolic rate.
Do you go to WW meetings? I'd raise there and get advice and accountability. Good luck! |
I'm on ww. Do you use your "weeklies"?
What is a day like for you, can you give a menu and amounts? |
