Diamond Dealer / Jeweler NYC

I’m heading to NYC and hoping to purchase a diamond necklace. Does anyone have recommendations of dealers/jewelers in NYC - maybe the diamond district or someone you’ve worked with that’s reputable? Don’t need fancy but do need ethical and honest.

There's thousands of wholesalers in the DD. Poster was asking for reputable recommendations....not all are reputable.

There are TWO Diamond districts in Manhattan the Orthodox Jewish on in Midtown or Chinese one by Chinatown.

What kind of diamond necklace? Like a pendant with a big diamond? Or a necklace with lots of diamonds? I wouldn't trust my own knowledge of how to purchase diamonds (which isn't great, but is probably better than average) to get me by without getting ripped off -- at least with the latter necklace. Do you have experience buying diamonds?

If I were in your shoes, I'd work with Pete at Quest in FFX to make me what I want. You will pay more than you would if you really know what you are doing and buy wholesale in NY, but you will pay less than you would pay in the diamond district if you don't know what you are doing. And quality will be assured.
