Medical expenses deduction

I think we probably spent over 7% of our AGI on medical expenses - partly because we use out of network providers for some of our medical needs. If you took this deduction how did you go about documenting it? Our insurance shows we owed a certain amount beyond what they paid - do I need to go to each provider and ask for a superbill for those years?

You cannot use EOB or super bills. You use actual receipts for what you paid.
