White (70.6%), two or more races (11.9%), Hispanic (8.6%). Want to guess the free and reduced lunch %. Did you guess 10%. No, it's 4.6% What achievement gaps are they closing? How can the measures be accurate when with demographics like these. |

Nice soundbite, but classes themselves are packed. My kid has 30 kids in her math class. Under Enrolled means fewer teachers allotted for the school. Teachers are also having to teach subjects that are not their forte (e.g. english to science). |

Anecdotally I can tell you they did a very nice job catching my child up. She was a 5th grader when schools closed in the spring for COVID. 6th grade was all online and she fell behind in math (formerly was scoring high on math assessments in ES). Her 6th grade assessments were quite low as a result. Her 7th and 8th grade teachers did a fantastic job catching her up. She's now in accelerated geometry in HS. We did not seek out extra/outside paid help. |

Heck yeah. Swanson was an s-show when my DC was supposed to start there in 6th. Went private and paying for it until high school. #sadface |

TJ is a great school - great student support, good teachers, and lots of community, school activities.
