| Our school is using the Map test to determine GT and advanced math placement. Any resources that people recommend- websites or books- where my daughter can practice some questions before she takes the Map test. She's in 3rd grade. |

Thanks. I googled and found those too. Any better than the others? The practice tests on the nwea website are the same for my two kids grades (2 years apart) and only ten questions so that wasn’t helpful.

| That's all you need. Learn how the rest works and then learn the school curriculum. |

| It's not a good idea to try to game the test to get her into a higher level class she can't handle. |

For MAP-M, expose your kid to higher level math's than the grade they are in. you can do this by creating their account on khan academy and asking them to solve questions from different topics.
For MAP-R, ask them to read lots of books. Having good vocabulary and knowing the origin of the words helps in the getting higher score on MAP. I don't think there is any practice test that you can find to prepare the kids for MAP. |

+1 MAP is an adaptive test to survey broadly where kids are at. The only “prep” is to read widely and do more math. |
