Yuval Harari

Sapiens has gotten a lot of hype but also heard his approach is rather simplistic and often cites hypotheses as facts when there is debate.

I've watched David Christian's Great Course on Big History and am currently reading his book Maps of Time, which is an extraordinary work. All of the work is cited and their appendices explaining processes such as dating techniques further. Christian is basically the founder of the Big History discipline which Harari is part of.

If I've read Christian's work, is Harari's Sapiens worth reading.

I read his book in graphic novel form, and I thought it was very good. It was thought-provoking to me. I haven't read his original book, and I'm not sure that I would have the patience to read that. But the graphic novel was great and a quick read.

I read his book Sapiens and learned nothing from it that I didn’t know already. So for me it was a bit of a waste of time.
