If you have a 6 month old formula fed baby

How much and how often are they eating? How many ounces per day are they averaging?

I wouldn’t even consider it. It’s not worth the risk. Can the ILs watch your toddler at your house? Personally, I’d rather hire a reputable sitter/nanny.

Somehow I posted this in the wrong thread. Sorry!

Just turned 6 months, baby has always been a petite eater. Now eating about 24 oz a day, sometimes a little bit less 22-24 oz. How about yours? I was told milk requirement should stay the same until about 9 months or so and then it could drop to 18-24 oz (max now is around 32 oz).

My 6 month old is eating 32oz a day. We just started solids and he eats about 2-4oz a day of solids plus his bottles. I’ve noticed he sometimes will drink 6oz at 10am instead of 8oz. He gets breast milk and formula in a bottle. This is his day

7am - 8oz
8am - 2oz purée
9-10am - Nap
10am - 8oz
12-2pm - Nap
2pm - 8oz
4-4:30pm - Nap
4:30pm - 2oz puree
6:30pm - 8oz
7pm - 7am - Sleeping

32 oz, plus some pure/cereal. He was born very skinny and drank a lot in the first 6 months. Slept at 9, noon and 6 pm for the night. I asked our pediatrician and she said while 32 oz is towards the higher end, it's still perfectly fine. He is older now and once started walking became much skinnier. At 6 mo he was a chubby butter ball.
