Anonymous
Is that a thing?

Never on DCs team. There are teams that would even consider this?

Anonymous
Absolutely never.

I know parents that want to override the coach’s lineup but our A-Rep is never involved in the lineup.

are there league rules about this?

Never, unless we catch an obvious error.

Wait, so if there is a kid qualified in every event your team reps decide what events that kid is going to swim? That’s crazy.

Yes, they do the lineup. Not a big team for teams, so most of the older kids swim each time.

That’s crazy, why isn’t that a coach task? That’s literally their job - to prepare a team for competition.

This is true and how it should be, but there are also strategic decisions with event selection (event limits).

What if they disagee? Are there nvsl rules about this?

No. The team rep is the one responsible for the exchange of entries and the team rep is responsible for hiring the coach. How they work out picking swimmers is between them
