Every where we go this morning we are hitting Epic traffic. Has something changed?

True but I expect Wednesday to always be worst because it’s the Max RTO DAY

Welcome to the post pandemic traffic norm.

RTO means we have probably 60% of people back in office, but EVERYBODY IS DRIVING. Far fewer ride metro. Probably zero slugging. And Uber traffic is up to for taxi and food delivery services.

That's why I really support those that don't need to be in an office to wfh. Clear the roads for those who have to drive!

I commute on the train three times a week and have seen a huge spike in ridership in the past month, so no, not everyone is driving.

I commute NOVA to Georgetown on Tues am and Thurs afternoon. Tues am was probably the worst I've ever seen traffic.

Glad I saw this post, I have to leave for work shortly and will leave a bit early even though it is mid-day.

Did I say that? No, not to pre-pandemic levels but neither is the traffic in the city. If you don't like the traffic take public transport like many of us do.

Connecticut Ave southbound was a huge mess, partly because of very short traffic light changeover at Nebraska intersection causing back-ups. Anyone listening!

Traffic is worse now than it was pre pandemic on my routes.

I commute to a location without metro, so public transit not feasible.
