| I know my kid took it last week. When generally do they post scores in ParentVue? |
| Over the past few years, anywhere from end of October to mid-November. |
| Train your kid to track their own score. It's displayed on screen at the end of the test. |
| Last year it was early November in my ES |

I wish I had known this. First year at MCPS doing this testing (kid in 2nd). I’m super curious though as he came home asking about what the box division symbol was (he knows some division but we’ve not gone over that symbol) and I was surprised as I don’t think that’s 2nd grade math. I asked him if he saw the score and he said he didn’t remember but it started with a 2. |
That means he probably did very well! Tests are adaptive, so if they do well, they get harder and harder questions, even outside their grade level. Test is also the same for several grades in a row (but percentiled by grade level.) |
Email the teacher and ask for the parent report. They can get is 24 hours after the kid takes it. |
|
| Pro tip- ask the kids to write down their score or remember them. That’s what I asked my daughter to do. I know her score and refer to Last Spring’s map document on ParentVUE to gauge her progress. |
| Just ask the teacher (or your kid). They see their score at end. They typically don’t post until end of quarter. |
| I think they only get scores starting in 3rd grade. Just ask your kid. My 5th grader can tell you his score and the score of every other kid in his class. |
Ha, that one gets everyone! The first 2nd grader whose parents teach the box symbol is going to get a 300.
The regular enrichment programs for super geniuses don't teach the box for short division, and focus on factoring more than long division. |
I'd estimate 235-245. It's basically off the charts for norm/percentile. |
I think for K-2 there's a dog at the end, if you click the dog you get the score. |
